The gardens and dovecote of Borie-Petit
Borie-Petit, near Périgueux, is a fortified house whose grounds hold a circular dovecote of 1661 in the meadow to the west and a small nineteenth-century burial chapel in the gardens to the south.

Château de Borie-Petit is a château at Champcevinel, Dordogne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The recorded building campaigns date from the 15th and 17th centuries. It is protected as a monument historique at the second level (inscrit). Details are drawn from the Base Mérimée of the French Ministry of Culture.

The house began as a 'borie' belonging to the cathedral chapter of Périgueux. The record describes the enclosure with its pyramid-roofed bartizans, the gatehouse defending the inner court, and the main block flanked by two large round towers with machicolations, restored in the nineteenth century. Of the grounds it says two things: in the middle of the meadow to the west stands a circular dovecote dated 1661, and in the gardens to the south a small sepulchral chapel was built in the nineteenth century, entered under a triangular pediment on two Gallo-Roman columns said to come from Vesunna. The 1974 listing covers the entrance postern and its two adjoining buildings with the corner bartizans.
