Château de Cénevières is a château at Cénevières, Lot, in the Occitanie region of France. The recorded building campaigns date from the 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. It is protected as a monument historique at the higher of the two levels (classé). Details are drawn from the Base Mérimée of the French Ministry of Culture.

Tradition attaches the castle to Waifer, duke of Aquitaine, and his war against Pepin the Short. The record describes the ensemble on its rock, the rampart wall linking the stables to the Tour de Gourdon, the square guardhouse of 1585 before the gate, the Renaissance windows that replaced Gothic openings, the colonnaded gallery outside the great salon, and a room with frescoes of the fall of Icarus and the burning of Troy. Of the grounds it says only that the buildings are flanked by terraces; the terraces are the garden that the site allows.
Recommendation
The terraces are the reason to walk to the edge: the Lot lies far below, and the rock does the rest.
