The park and dovecote of Château Lescombes
At Eysines, on the edge of Bordeaux, the park of Château Lescombes keeps a seventeenth-century circular dovecote, attested from 1673 and listed in 1992.

Château de Lescombes is a château at Eysines, Gironde, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The recorded building campaign dates from the 17th century. It is protected as a monument historique at the second level (inscrit). Details are drawn from the Base Mérimée of the French Ministry of Culture.

The house was enlarged in 1537 and bought in 1631 by the prior of the Feuillants of Bordeaux, who rebuilt the main block and crowned it with a pavilion; the 1811 cadastre shows a quadrilateral around an inner court, of which most outbuildings have gone. The record concentrates on the dovecote: circular, under a stone dome with an eastern flight dormer, ringed by two projecting stone bands that kept rodents from climbing, with a twelve-metre well inside that fed a reservoir under the cupola in the early twentieth century. The garden seen from the park today, with its vegetable beds and topiary, is not described in the record.
