The garden-court of Losmonerie
Losmonerie, near Aixe-sur-Vienne, sets its L-shaped house behind what the record calls a garden-court, separated from the farmyard by a gate with stone pillars flanked by two pavilions, one of them a chapel.

Château de Losmonerie is a château at Aixe-sur-Vienne, Haute-Vienne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The recorded building campaigns date from the 16th and 17th centuries. It is protected as a monument historique at the second level (inscrit). Details are drawn from the Base Mérimée of the French Ministry of Culture.

Attested as a manse in the later fourteenth century, Losmonerie became a lordship only at the end of the sixteenth. The record describes a house of the late fifteenth or early sixteenth century with a round stair tower and a flamboyant Gothic door, a seventeenth-century return wing, and a two-storey Renaissance gallery linking the two. In front of the house lies a kind of garden-court; the agricultural dependencies surround a separate farmyard, and a pillared gate with two pavilions divides the two. The house, the two pavilions and the gate closing the court were listed in 2009.
