The walled park of Nitray
Built after 1516 for Emery Lopin, mayor of Tours, Nitray at Athée-sur-Cher is listed with its park and the enclosure wall that ends in a domed turret.

Château de Nitray is a château at Athée-sur-Cher, Indre-et-Loire, in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The recorded building campaign dates from the 16th century. It is protected as a monument historique at the second level (inscrit). Details are drawn from the Base Mérimée of the French Ministry of Culture.

The record describes a rectangular house raised on the east side by the slope, with gabled dormers and two stair towers, a gate flanked by two towers on the north of the court, one of them a chapel, the dovecote in the north-west corner, outbuildings contemporary with the house and an older pavilion in the south-east. The enclosure wall reaches a domed turret to the south. The 1947 listing names the park and its enclosure wall, together with that south-west turret of the park enclosure.
