The orangery and icehouse of Le Taillis
Built from the end of the sixteenth century for Jehan Dufay and enlarged into the nineteenth, the château du Taillis at Duclair is listed with its orangery, its icehouse and the surviving elements of its enclosure.

Château du Taillis is a château at Duclair, Seine-Maritime, in the Normandie region of France. The recorded building campaigns date from the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It is protected as a monument historique at the second level (inscrit). Details are drawn from the Base Mérimée of the French Ministry of Culture.

The record follows the campaigns: a central block of the late sixteenth century, pavilions in the mid-seventeenth, linking ranges and a wing at its end, wings in the early nineteenth century, and a major restoration around 1930 that brought in the decor of a grand salon from a Rouen town house. The 1996 listing names the house, the orangery, the icehouse, the east and west barns and the remaining parts of the enclosure. The orangery and icehouse are the garden buildings the record gives; the garden itself is not described.
