The orangery, terraces and former garden of Lassalle
On its rectangular mound at Calignac, the Domaine de Lassalle joins château, twelfth-century chapel and a late-sixteenth-century orangery by terraces; before the orangery once lay a regular garden, still visible on the plan of 1823.

Domaine de Lassalle is a château at Calignac, Lot-et-Garonne, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The recorded building campaigns date from the 12th, 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. It is protected as a monument historique at the second level (inscrit). Details are drawn from the Base Mérimée of the French Ministry of Culture.

The record, which mentions the domain from the thirteenth century, describes a rectangular two-storey château with an eighteenth-century pavilion, outbuildings forming a U around an inner court, a square Romanesque chapel and, beside it, a rectangular orangery with square pavilions at its angles, the southern one keeping its rib vault. Terraces link the buildings, and a regular garden spread in front of the orangery, still shown on the 1823 plan. The 2010 listing covers the whole domain: château, adjoining outbuildings, the vaulted gallery closing the former garden, the chapel, the former garden and the terraces, and the part of the arrival avenue beside the stair.
Recommendation
The garden is gone but its walls, its orangery and its terraces are all still here; you can walk the plan of 1823.
