The gardens, avenues and pond of Les Arcis
At Meslay-du-Maine, the Domaine des Arcis — a late-sixteenth-century keep and outbuildings, restored in the early nineteenth century when the gardener’s house and orangery were built — was listed in April 2025 with the whole ground of its gardens, avenues and pond.

Domaine des Arcis is a château at Meslay-du-Maine, Mayenne, in the Pays de la Loire region of France. The recorded building campaigns date from the 16th, 18th and 19th centuries. It is protected as a monument historique at the second level (inscrit). Details are drawn from the Base Mérimée of the French Ministry of Culture.

The record dates the keep and outbuildings to the end of the sixteenth century and the restoration with new interiors, gardener’s house and orangery to the early nineteenth; one farm building carries a Philibert Delorme roof. The 2025 listing names the keep in full, the house façades and its two salons, the domed tower, the orangery and the gardener’s house in their entirety, the farm barn, and the ground of the gardens, avenues and pond of Les Arcis with everything built and unbuilt within it, across three communes, excluding only the swimming pool and the contemporary garden works.
