The terrace, walled garden and avenues of Tronjoly
The manor of Tronjoly at Cléder, begun in 1535, was classified in 2015 with the whole of its outdoor composition: the cour d’honneur and its basin, the balustraded terrace, the walled garden with its basin, pavilion and nineteenth-century shelter, the wash-house, the dovecote, the entrance gate and the avenues.

Manoir de Tronjoly is a manor house at Cléder, Finistère, in the Bretagne region of France. The recorded building campaigns date from the 16th and 17th centuries. It is protected as a monument historique at the higher of the two levels (classé). Details are drawn from the Base Mérimée of the French Ministry of Culture.
Editorial reading
The record describes an east wing of 1535 with mullioned windows and a corner tower, a north range and a west wing of former outbuildings from the seventeenth century, and to the south a raised esplanade framed by the chaplain’s pavilion and a nineteenth-century chapel. The 2015 classification is unusually complete for the grounds: the cour d’honneur with its basin; the terrace with its retaining wall, balustrade, stair and enclosure walls; the walled garden with its walls, basin, pavilion and nineteenth-century shelter; the wash-house and dovecote in full; the calvary; the entrance gate with its low walls; the avenue laid out to the south-east from the gate to the courts, with its platform and lawn; and the avenue to the north-east.
Recommendation
Rarely is a Breton manor classified down to its lawn and its avenues; here the whole approach is the monument.
