Editorial reading

Editorial interpretation: distinguish the institution’s medicinal origins from the later Inverleith landscape. Comparing the rock garden and geographically themed plantings offers a way to read different approaches to arranging living collections.

Recommendation

Compare the named garden areas and check the operator’s current access information before travelling. The historical foundation date refers to an earlier location; it does not date every feature at Inverleith.
