Redactionele duiding
The record describes an irregular, almond-shaped group of disparate buildings around a roughly pentagonal court, built in the pink-red siliceous stone of the region and local blue-grey granite, burnt in 1793 and surrounded by broad moats in water. The château with its gates and dovecote was listed in 1985. The Base Mérimée records a garden among the site’s features; the moats are the part of the setting the record describes.
