Redactionele duiding
The record is short on narrative — moats and towers of the fourteenth century, reconstruction in the seventeenth and eighteenth — but generous in what it protects. The 1949 classification names the château and its outbuildings, its moats, its park and the very ground of the avenue that leads to it. The park is thus protected at the highest level, as part of a composition that runs from the approach to the water around the house.
Aanbeveling
Arrive by the avenue: it is classified for a reason, and it sets up the house across the water.
